Mountaindays.net

Written using PHP, MySQL and HTML with cascading style sheets to provide the formatting. There are a number of dynamic database driven sections to the site including:

Photo gallery
Route Database
Mountain Database

Mountaindays.net was created as a community site in a friendly newspaper style design. Aimed at mountaineers, rock climbers and hill walkers it has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2003 and now receives over 10 thousand unique visitors each month.

The web site has also been optimised for a number of keywords and phrases and enjoys top ten ranking in all major search engines. You can find out more about this in our search engine optimisation portfolio.

Sussex Scuba

Float Clear Solutions was asked to come up with the initial design which Sussex Scuba then took on themselves to manage the content. The site was written using PHP, HTML and cascading style sheets and was based around Sussex Scuba's corporate colours. The web site went live in the summer of 2005.

In 2006 Float Clear Solutions was asked to review the site and provide optimisation for a number of keywords and phrases. You can find out more about this in our search engine optimisation portfolio.

Outdoor Professionals

We were asked to take this site on and develop it from a single holding page into a full site promoting all the courses and activities run by Outdoor Professionals Ltd.

The site was developed using validated XHTML & CSS2 and passes the Cynthia test for web accessibility.

Kerry & Scott Goodwin Wedding Album

We were employed to develop a site that Kerry & Scott could use to publish photographs from their recent wedding. The site was developed using validated XHTML & CSS2 and made use of the open source album software, Coppermine Gallery.

Thirst 4 Adventure

This is a new site that was launched in May 2006 to advertise Giles' work as a Freelance Outdoor Instructor. The content is quite limited at the moment while we work on the Float Clear Solutions site but should expand shortly.
